Not a good week for eyeballs, but definitely a great weekend for stomachs. I got a pretty bad eye infection in my right eye that had me secluded in the house with all the blinds down for the past few days. The perks: taking the last two days off school and resting up on season two of Game of Thrones. The down side: having to wear my old eye glasses for the rest of the week. A friend suggested Warby Parker eyeglasses, so I’m eagerly anticipating the next mail arrival.

Good news for stomachs and for us Phams. Mother’s day means grubbing on greasing, delicious dim sum and grocery shopping with Mom afterwards, which means I get to load the cart with all the shrimp chips I want. Thanks Mom! # 1 AZN Mom 4 Life.

…We got our first sell on Poshmark! This calls for special packaging for our lucky first customer. And we just posted more items today. I’ll be sad to let my Marc Jacobs pumps go, but it’s better this way. Someone will put those babies to good use.

…trading in my flats for sandals, gearing up for the summer and vacation. These Dolce Vita sandals are uber comfortable.

… a few things that have made my Friday more enjoyable yesterday after having a tough week so far

… breakfast tacos as we’re gearing up for teacher’s appreciation week

… my collection of window greenery is growing everyday

… and bisqueware that have finally been taken out of the kiln.

… and the students’ animal piggy banks have turned out so amazing, not to  mention no explosions or major mishaps for my first round!

Friday night at one of our favorite bars to catch up with each other and a late late dinner at Katz where the memorable topics of discussion were rotisserie chicken, porn and sleeping diagonally. The rest of the weekend was spent at my sister’s house where the siblings got together to grub on fresh crab and crawfish. And snail mail arrived this week, just in time. My dad’s been pestering me about this DVD for some time now.

… Spending time in the backyard. The cats were pretty excited and anxious to be let out today. Maggie’s eyes were so dilated from all the bird tweeting and chirping from the trees and Joey, who is like an old man with those drooping eyes, laid by the open door until he gathered enough courage to come outside and chase a few birds along the fence.

… I’m still deciding on what to fill my new pots with for the classroom. I love the rawness of these clay pots and this hand painted bowl I managed to nab for five bucks at the Guild Shop will make a better planter.

… The kumquat flowers are ready to bloom and the shrub has grown dramatically this past year. Here’s hoping for a big harvest this year!
