My sis and I took yet another trip to the Guild Shop. Last time we left empty handed, but we felt pretty lucky this time around. I found some more beautiful Japanese porcelain bowls to add to my collection and a distressed leather belt. My favorite find is this old tackle box which I’m working on to restore as a jewelry display shelf. I love the little compartments for my rings and the tiny silver […]
A gooood Saturday well spent through the vintage shops. Some neat finds, all under $20. You can’t tell but this Cheshire cat ring is almost the size of a belt buckle. I love love love it! It reminds me of my fat cat Maggie. And another owl ring for the collection. I like the art deco-ness of this design. (I don’t know why I opted for the Georgi O’Keefe theme for the photo. Guess I […]

Something new to add to my owl collection, from Mona. It looks like Archimedes and the best part of it all, a HOOT! surprise on the inside!
Stopped by the thrift store by my house on a spontaneous urge to spend some hard earned cash and found some amazing pieces! Dr. Seuss classics in perfect condition, Oh, The Places You’ll Go and If I Ran the Zoo I went nuts when I saw this set of Beatrix Potter books also in perfect condition. The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck and Benjamin Bunny. I used to fawn over these books when I […]
Had a wonderful day today! Tuan and I went to Harwin and discovered a lovely little bead shop owned by the sweetest little Chinese lady ever. It took me an hour or so to pick out some strands of beads for my necklace project. It’s one of those endearing habits of mine. 🙂 I can’t help it. I just love to browse slowly when I’m in a shop that I love, or a bookstore or […]
