A sneak peek at the Christmas decorations for the party this Sunday. (And I finally get to use my owl ornaments I bought last year!) Exciteeed! And! It snowed for a day in Houston again for the second year in a row. It made me smile everytime I drove by a two foot snowman.
My little cousins have books on their wish list this year, so I thought I would put together a collection of some of my favorite books to send them. I’ve been slowly collecting these old favorites so that one day I’ll be able to pass them down to my kids, in case any one of these books ever go out of publication.
Someone told me recently that books will be irrelevant in the coming years, but I highly doubt that. Or rather, I’d like to believe that there are people out there who still appreciate the experience of reading an actual book and turning those crispy pages every now and then.
I’m loving these new cover designs by David Pearson and Coralie Bickford-Smith for Penguin Classics. Definitely on my wish list this year. I do love a good book cover.
The rest of my aunt and uncles decided to come over this year so we had to up the ante on food. This is me serving lettuce.
My new favorite thing: rasberry iced tea.
It’s been a more hectic Thanksgiving this year with more family coming over and engagement parties to plan with so little time. I can’t believe there’s only two weeks left until Tuan and Kevin’s engagement party. There’s so much I need to do and make, but I’m finally getting that exciting frenzy now.
Next week, we’re getting the christmas tree!
