I apologize if this seems like a Kruger-Jackson shrine but sigh* Are they not just the most beautiful couple ever or what? I heart her style. It’s always effortless and beautiful.

I’m sooo tired! Just had a great housewarming party for my sister and her fiancee. All our family and friends came over to the new house bearing well wishes and lots of goodies in exchange  or some delicious food and company. I’m still recovering from a food coma right now. Korean BBQ, roasted pig, my dad’s famous curry, shark fin soup, lotus salad, cakes and macarons, fajitas and mojitos, and Howie’s amazing margaritas.  OY!  A couple of our friends stayed over after hours to enjoy a game of poker and chips and Kevin’s homemade dip. This week will be devoted to working it all out for sure!

Any excuse to use my new cake stand and all that fabric I got on sale at Ikea. This one, I like to call  “grandpa’s  stripes”

Farmer’s market macarons. mmm.

Books

I’m just a horrible person. I went to the bookstore in search of books for Christmas presents this year and found these McSweeney anthologies. But now I think I love them too much to give away. You know how I love a good book cover. I feel greedy 😦 but also really kind of ecstatic!  Well, I did manage to grab some books for my sister’s housewarming gift. Some of her favorite authors and a set of bookends to start her library. Can’t wait for the housewarming party this Sunday! Phamily and food makes me happy.

It’s a magnetic book cover! So neat!

Surprisingly really enjoyed my low key birthday this year.We stuffed ourselves with Rudy’s BBQ on Friday and grabbed some drinks at Anvil Saturday.  Those mojitos were amazing! Things I never tire of and always love: peanuts with a great cocktail, and dinner with friends. Oh and the boxes of cupcakes and sweets too!
