My Maudlin Career by Camera Obscura
I’ve been listening to Camera Obscura on the drive home today. I have to admit, I love them but there isn’t much range in their styles from album to album. But nonetheless, there is that ethereal quality that I find endearing in their music. It must be Tracyanne Campbell’s wispy voice, or just the fact that had Peter Pan been set in Michigan and the characters’ were played by trendy adolescents sporting banjos, Camera Obscura would definitely be the folky soundtrack I would imagine hearing. Not quite a bad thing.
