un fête a la musee…

…well I think that’s how you say it in French.

I met up with some friends at the MFAH yesterday evening for a French Fête! event. There were promises of champagne and great art so who could say no? I should know better, but I still always get surprised when so many people actually turn up to these events.  There was a line that stretched around the corner of the museum building! Standing in line is never fun. I’ll have to come back on a Thursday to view the paintings in a more quiet setting, although these events are always a good excuse to dress up and go out. These shot were taken on the sly so they’re a bit blurry. I also picked up what I thought was a button of a painting I really liked, but it turned out to be a little travel mirror. Oh well, I can remedy that situation with a little super glue and pin. It accents my chartreuse cardigan so well.
