Sometimes, the only pick-me-up I need is a little retail therapy in cosmetics. I’m ready for fall with these lipsticks shades.

The scarf is a little splurge, but I really love the bohemian print and the softness of it. Also, you can never go wrong with a soft pashmina for those amazing fall breezes.

Got a duplicate geisha Hello Kitty in my box. I was hoping for British Kitty, but these actually look cute together.

New books to browse through during late night reading sessions. (A birthday gift…thanks bro)

…I can hear the wind blowing at night now. I hope this summer heat wave is dissipating for good soon.

I just love a great widow display. The first BHDN store to open is located conveniently next to Anthropologie. Everything is so gorgeous in the store, especially all the decor and party supplies. It’s definitely inspiring me to throw a party.

I’ve been really into these paper garlands that have been hung at the Anthropologie stores lately. So simple, yet so beautiful as a collective piece.

Life

I’ve been busy! A few photos from the last two weeks, which have been kind of a whirlwind for me.

… scouting locations for our next photo shoot

… giant macarons at Central Market! A delicious late night treat with hot tea.

… my birthday celebrations at Yes KTV. Karaoke with loud, rambunctious boys are so much fun.

… We’ve been loading up on logans and rambutans at the house lately.

… Oreo

Vintage

I heart  you             t     h     i     s            much!

I’ve been neglecting my blog, but the last days of August have been pretty busy for me. My aunt is in town and she was itching to visit some antique and thrift stores again. I love shopping with her at Grace Hart & Co. She’s not afraid of bargaining with the owners. I tend to get a little sheepish when it comes to these things. We found some dainty gold bracelets for my little cousins and I picked out a few rocks for Cynthia, who has requested rocks and art supplies for Christmas. I love when that happens! I’m putting together a small rock collection for her, a little something inspired by these from Cori Kindred. I found a great vintage Cacharel box that will store these gems beautifully. Will post more later when I’m done painting it.

These earrings are a bit heavy, but it was a steal at five bucks at Urbans. Cynthia’s inspiring me to start my own collection!

These scenes always make me swoon and reminds me of this Neruda poem that I love.

I want to know if you come with me
toward not walking
and not speaking.
I want no communication;
finally going with someone to see pure
air, rays of light over the daily sea
or a landbound object
and finally having nothing to trade
without goods to furnish as the
colonizers had,
exchanging coupons for silence.
I argue: I give you mine
with one provision: that we not
understand each other
