.. a little fun with Japanese washi paper tape.

…and I found this awesome painting in a cluster of old canvases I had hidden in the back of my closet today. I don’t know who painted it, but it was probably from a friend or a fellow student from high school. I remember taking a stack of canvases that nobody wanted at the end of the school year. Looting for art is the best. (But don’t try it at home kids.)

Phamily / weekends

Hi!

Just spent a weekend celebrating Chau and BJ’s wedding nuptials. Good friends and food all around. My hand hurts from photoshopping so I’ll just let the photos speak for itself. Enjoy!

The bride wore a classic lace Marc Bouwer dress. It’s oh so very Jackie O.

I love this manzanita branch filled with hand sewn birds. The bride made all of the crafts for the decor.

lovely paper flowers to greet guests in the entrance hall.

yummy. I heart macarons.

Something about the entire wedding felt like a very vintage prom. Maybe it was all the bows and flowers.

There was a classic black and white photo booth for guests to enjoy and fill the bride and groom’s scrapbook with. We opted for a Brady Bunch theme.

Things I heart this month: July

It’s been awhile since I posted something. The truth is, I’ve been distracted by TV shows on my Netflix account. This is where I name drop, so plz to watch The Last Airbender anime series and Eastbound and Down. mraor! Both are so good. Other than that it’s been wedding extravaganza week here lately. That’s my sister and me testing out some centerpiece arrangements for her wedding. I think we’re going for the classics, carnations and tulips. I love the way carnations smell. Doesn’t it just remind you of Valentine’s Day in school when you received a stem from your friends or secret lover? Anyway. Wedding extravaganza week continues until this weekend when the Rickshaw birds are finally wed.  Party time!

Oh! and a new Parrot necklace from a day of thrift store shopping with my seester! We also found a set of cute dessert cups and a carafe for her new place.
