We took advantage of free museum day at the MFAH to enjoy Jesús Rafael Soto’s floating installation. It was quite crowded with visitors and Olivia was scared at first, but when she felt more comfortable in the space, she was running through the curtains of plastic and thoroughly enjoying the experience on her own.
The last two days, I spent hanging out with my colleagues at a mini conference at the MFAH. This would be my second year attending and I always like to do these kind of workshops to get inspiration and get me going as August approaches along with another school year. A few favorite pieces from my last visit to the MFAH during museum district day. These wire installations are so beautiful in person. I’m excited to experiment with some wire works myself this year with the kids.
