My favorite part of the party planning was making all the flower arrangements. I’m not much for having a perfect arrangement. I prefer the “I just picked it from my garden” look. Finally a great opportunity to put those vintage glasses and vases to good use.

I love love these yellow acacia blooms. They really brighten up the room. And these alstroemeria flowers are economically cheap and pretty for a simple arrangement.

Hor d’oeurves and croissant sandwiches. Bacon wrapped water chestnuts, pineapple teriyaki meatballs, petite pate chauds, pesto basil pasta, and my brother’s special crab bruschetta cakes. (A big Thanks!! to our friends, and especially the guys who took the helm at the last hour to grill all the food!)
