Yesterday, I took part in a zine workshop at Myth & Symbol and several other lovely ladies and gents. We spent a good 2 hours assembling and creating a quick zine out of photographs and collages. Maria and Stacy from Zinefest Houston were kind enough to show us the ropes and lead an interesting  discussion in Zine culture and Paula Deen, amongst other things. I’m usually such a clusterfuck when it comes to creating things on the spot, but I decided to go with a Cat’s Guide to Summer zine. This is giving me some good ideas for a zine art lesson I’m planning on teaching my kids next year.
