Enjoying one of my favorite meals this afternoon. Rice with fried tofu, garlic sauteed water spinach, Chinese sausage, and my mom’s amazing tamarind infused tomato soup topped off with a few chopped sprigs of rice paddy herb for an extra hint of sourness. Classic Vietnamese ingredients, I could eat a million of these bowls.
An excuse to stop by Central Market from time to time. My mother is beginning to love that spicy capricollo. And this cat will eat anything you put in front of her.
We took our friends Thomas and Pei to Empire Cafe, one of our favorite spots in Montrose today. They live only a few minutes from the the Montrose area but have yet to explore all the cafes and restaurants around that neighborhood.
