What I’ve been doing all week… …being distracted by this fellow. A new addition to the Phamily, please welcome Charlie. Despite that devious look on his face, he’s the most docile creature ever (and the softest, too, like micro suede). Whenever I am napping on the sofa, he’d jump onto me and purr without stopping. The adoption center had to shave off his fur because it was so tangled when they received him. I kind […]

Vintage / weekends

The week leading up to Christmas day really gets me into the holiday spirit. Last minute shopping and the Phamily Christmas tree really begins to fill up with presents. The cats are going crazy and crazier everyday for some odd reason. The weekend started off really well with dinner with friends at Broken Spoke down on Washington Street. We traded in our Cheetos and Lays for some Boursain and brie cheese and pita chips and fresh strawberries. Ameet made some delicious spinach artichoke dip and there was much wine to be had. The girls beat the boys at Taboo. Again. We stayed up until 3 in the morning discussing Antoine Dodson, pedobear, politics and Ahhnold’s one liners, among other things. Mostly, the boys talked about sports. Igby under the table.

Probably not as amazing as the wine valleys in California, I’m sure, but it […]

It was White Linen Night in the Heights yesterday. Everyone came in their best whites to check out Houston’s vintage scene on 19th Street. I wish I could have stayed a little longer, but I had birthday dinner reservations with the sis and her beau, and free Italian dinner is so tempting. 🙂 Those shiny, rainbow pinata and streamers blowing in the wind by Casa Ramirez had me mesmerized for awhile there. The birthday boy. […]
