My new favorite things…

…a chartreuse bag that has the perfect pocket for my Maggie phone

…the Warby Parker glasses arrived. I like these a lot more than my older frames.

…tri-color print from a teaching workshop last week

…these flats were so cute I had to get them in two colors! … slowing building up my collection of comfortable shoes for work next year.

home sweet home

I’ve been looking forward to summer break all year and now that it’s here, all I have seem to be doing is loafing around the house avoiding the scorching heat outside. But today will be a new day for me. Laundry, blog, photo editing all on my agenda. And then at least three new projects I have in mind to work on over the summer break. The past two weeks have been all about eating Mom’s amazing home cooking. She’s really perfected her crawfish recipe using only fresh ingredients to infuse her flavors into the crawfish. And her famous banh xeo (Vietnamese crepes with pork and shrimp) was such a hit at our last family dinner party. The backyard has been teeming with fresh herbs and vegetables. I’ve been munching on these kumquats with honey lately.

Joey’s been addicted to going outside lately. How he loves basking in the sun…

I planned on doing a whole lot of nothing this Memorial weekend, but it seems I’ve got too many things on my agenda to finish up first before I can participate in that marathon of lethargy. Just a few quick photos from the week before I go back into more photo editing. One last week of school to go! Got my tickets booked to Utah to visit my little munchkins. I’m excited for the summer to work on photos and new projects and new lesson plans for the school year.

… my go to skirt of the moment.

…another Animalia necklace…Dolly Llama

…new plant… this one’s got great arms

…my first taste of fried Oreos had me going back to Saint Dane’s to pick up another box to go to share with the silings

…a pack of angry bird ceramics

Life

Recap:

Not a good week for eyeballs, but definitely a great weekend for stomachs. I got a pretty bad eye infection in my right eye that had me secluded in the house with all the blinds down for the past few days. The perks: taking the last two days off school and resting up on season two of Game of Thrones. The down side: having to wear my old eye glasses for the rest of the week. A friend suggested Warby Parker eyeglasses, so I’m eagerly anticipating the next mail arrival.

Good news for stomachs and for us Phams. Mother’s day means grubbing on greasing, delicious dim sum and grocery shopping with Mom afterwards, which means I get to load the cart with all the shrimp chips I want. Thanks Mom! # 1 AZN Mom 4 Life.

…We got our first sell on Poshmark! This calls for special packaging for our lucky first customer. And we just posted more items today. I’ll be sad to let my Marc Jacobs pumps go, but it’s better this way. Someone will put those babies to good use.

…trading in my flats for sandals, gearing up for the summer and vacation. These Dolce Vita sandals are uber comfortable.
